What Size am I ?

Measure the length of your feet as accurately as possible from heel to your longest toe.  You will need to be standing up to make sure your feet are taking your full weight.

  • Place a piece of A4 paper flat on the floor with the edge of the paper touching a wall.
  • Place your foot on the paper with your heel touching the wall.
  • Mark the point of your longest toe (not necessarily your big toe).
  • Measure the distance from the edge of the paper to your toe mark in centimetres.
  • Repeat with your other foot.

This is where the CM column in the above table comes in to help find shoes in your size range.

  • Add 0.5cm to your largest foot length to allow for the toe of the shoe.
  • Ignore any sizes with a CM size smaller than this total length.
  • Find the nearest CM size and use the EU size to order your shoes.

E.g. My feet measure 21.8cm if I add 0.5cm this comes to 22.3cm to allow for the toe of the shoe. Size 34 EU is just slightly too small at 22.2cm and this proved right when I tried them on however the next size 34½ EU were perfect.

What about Width ?

The Askey & Hirst range are a "standard" width and I'm afraid at present we do not cater for extra narrow or wide fittings.  We will try to address this in the future as the shop becomes more established.
